Tell us more about who you are and what you do!
Hi! I’m Chloe and I live in Salt Lake City Utah with my dog and boyfriend. I am the head of content for the Tezza App in the day and I run a little art business on the side at night.

Where do you find inspiration for your personal style and home decor?
I can’t lie, I love Pinterest, blogs and cruising around online for inspo. But I also get so much inspiration from my friends' homes, I’m blessed to be surrounded by people with beautiful spaces. Whenever I’m in a slump I’ll go to my favorite local vintage furniture stores to feel alive again (If you find yourself in SLC, the shop is the Green Ant. Tell ‘em I sent you!)

What is your go-to #WFH outfit that still makes you feel ready for the work day?
I love a button up and a pair of denim. I swear a good pair of jeans makes me sit up straighter, think more clearly, and just feel more alive ya know?
We love your art! How did you get started with sobriquet1996?
It was a complete accident! In high school I was pushing a calligraphy business and things weren’t really moving. A friend of mine asked me to draw her family as a gift, I posted it on social media, and more people asked for portraits and illustrations. I pivoted to portraits and expanded to other products with my art. My taste has changed so much since then, so the brand has really evolved which is fun.

What was your process of finding your personal style with your art?
My life impacts my art so much. I spent three years or so working at an Interior Design firm and it elevated my taste and style so much. I skipped college and was only 19 or 20 when I entered the work force, and was able to spend my days scrolling through design blogs and magazines, instead of decorating a dorm room.
The more I create, the better my art feels. But when I’m not in the mood, I never force it. A break can give you a chance to refresh.
You've done mugs, clothes, coloring books, phone cases...what do you hope to put your art on next?
Oooh that’s a fun question. I wish I knew the answer, but right now I’m focusing on managing my inbox and to do lists…. maybe puzzles?

How do you think your art and personal fashion style influence each other?
They are one and the same! Both my personal style and art are laid back and effortless which is just who I am. The older I get, the easier it is to create things that feel like me.

Are there any trends you’re looking forward to experimenting with this spring/summer?
This isn’t really a trend, but I’ve steered clear of shorts for years, but I finally found the shorts I styled here which are longer and more baggy, which feels like me! I love to size up with denim shorts and throw in a really good belt. I love shorts styled with tall boots too!

How are you styling your JBD jeans this spring?
I love leaning into what I’m working with and committing to a look! I styled my denim skirt with a denim jacket, and my white shorts with a white tee and a beige trench. I think going monochromatic can elevate classic staples in a fun way that still feels timeless.
