Tell us more about who you are and what you do!

I’m Morgan and love finding the beautiful in the mundane and romanticizing my life. I am a freelancer and a social media content creator. What began as something I did in my free time has become my main career. In addition to content creation, I also help businesses with social media and influencer marketing needs. I live on the Upper East Side in New York City, so there is unlimited inspiration all around! My boyfriend and I share our apartment with our two goldens: Cashew and Fig. If you asked me five years ago if this is what my life would be like, I would have never believed you.

We love following along while you hangout in NYC! Can you share a few of your favorite spots in the city?

Of course! The city is known for its loud, hustle and bustle but my favorite parts of New York are in the quiet. Walking around my neighborhood and people watching is my favorite thing to do, and is even better when I have a coffee or a sweet treat. I love when I can take my time and enjoy window shopping up and down Madison Avenue on the UES and Elizabeth Street in SoHo! One of my favorite places to go is Central Park. I love walking around the reservoir with a cup of coffee from La Bomboniera or Ralph’s Coffee and taking my two golden retrievers on walks there.

How has living in NYC influenced your personal style?

Living in NYC has taught me the most valuable thing about style - that no one cares. Everyone is so busy with their own day, their own problems, and their own lives that they don’t care what your outfit looks like and chances are that if they see you, they will forget about you. It is a harsh, yet comforting sentiment that has helped me take more risks and try new clothing styles that I may not have tried before living in NYC. It’s also something that I try to now carry in other elements of my life. Just be yourself, and no one cares- in the best way. :)

What is your process for putting together a good outfit for a day in NYC that is both functional and fashionable?

Great question! That is definitely the biggest challenge of getting dressed in NYC - no matter how cute it is, you have to be able to move in it! I try to start with the shoes that I need for how far I am planning to walk that day and the coat if I need one, and then go from there! Living in New York has definitely made me more mindful about shoe and coat purchases- shoes need to be comfortable and built to last, and coats and jackets are just as much as part of the outfit as your shirt and pants.

With fall finally arriving, what are some trends you're excited to style in the upcoming months?

Right now, while it’s not too cold in NYC, I am loving the jean shorts and boots trend. I think it is so fun. I find that I gravitate toward masculine and feminine elements and that trend has the best of both. This season I have found that I am really loving playing around with a triangle scarf. I love the instant way it elevates your look. Even the smallest accessories make the biggest difference in the completion of the outfit!

What is your favorite season for fashion and why?

Definitely Fall. Fall fashion provides such an ease to layering different items of clothing. I love that it’s not too dark like winter fashion, and, it’s not too cold to be comfortable outside without severely bundling up. I love the cozy, nostalgic, and warmth of Fall and the daily challenge of trying to best translate those feelings to an outfit.

Are there other areas of your life that you enjoy expressing yourself artistically outside of content creation?

Decorating has always been an area that I have found so much joy in. I love seasonally rotating items and decorations in my apartment and the freshness it brings each season.

We need some inspiration for some cute halloween costumes you can create with jeans, got any fun ideas?

Ooo this is a good one! I love going back to my 2000s pop culture roots for Halloween, and choosing a beloved character. One that comes to mind that has some ICONIC denim looks that can easily be recreated is Lizzie McGuire!

How are you styling your JBD jeans this fall?

I can’t wait to wear these jeans again and again with my favorite pairs of boots  and with a statement jacket. When it gets a bit colder, styling the jeans with loafers, a turtleneck, and jacket is one of my favorite classic fall go-to looks.
